Dans les années 1980, au Tibet, un jeune garçon sacré, contenant toute la pureté du monde, est enlevé par un redoutable démon. Celui-ci veut tuer l’enfant afin de répandre le mal sur la planète. Pour contrer cette fatalité imminente, Chandler Jarrell un Américain incrédule (Eddie Murphy) vivant à Los Angeles et choisi depuis des millénaires va devoir batailler contre ces forces obscures à l’issue incertaine.

In the 1980s, in Tibet, a sacred young boy, containing all the purity of the world, is kidnapped by a fearsome demon. The demon wants to kill the child in order to spread evil across the planet. To counter this imminent doom, Chandler Jarrell – an incredulous American (Eddie Murphy) living in Los Angeles and chosen for millennia – will have to battle against these dark forces with an uncertain outcome.
