L’hiver n’a pas dit son dernier mot!

Retour du froid au mois de mai, mais qui sont ces Saints qui nous narguent et qui nous rappellent au bon souvenir de l’hiver?

Les Saints de glaces, susceptibles de devenir les jours les plus froids, notamment de nuit ou de matin sont au nombre de huit:

Saint Georges, le 23 avril.
Saint Marc, le 25 avril.
Saint Eutrope, le 30 avril.
Sainte Croix, le 3 mai,

Sont des Saints geleurs, grêleurs et brûleurs de bourgeons.

Saint Jean, le 6 mai qui théoriquement ferme la porte du froid.

Mais la prudence reste de mise lors de ses grands chevaliers:

Saint Mannet, le 11 mai,
Saint Pancrace, le 12 mai,
Saint Gervais, le 13 mai.

Ils sont aussi des Saints de grêle et de gelées nocturne.

Alors attendez le 14 mai pour vos plantations.

The Ice Saints, likely to become the coldest days, especially at night or in the morning, are eight in number:

Saint Georges, april 23.
Saint Mark, April 25.
Saint Eutropius, April 30.
Holy Cross, May 3,

They bringing down hail, causing night frosts and damaging buds

Saint Jean, May 6 which theoretically closes the door of the cold.

But caution remains in order when its great knights:

Saint Mannet, May 11,
Saint Pancras, May 12,
Saint Gervais, May 13.

They are also Saints of hail and night frosts.

So wait until May 14 for your plantations.
