La Mouche (The Fly) est un film de science-fiction horrifique britanno-américano-canadien réalisé par David Cronenberg et sorti en 1986. Il s’agit de l’adaptation de la nouvelle éponyme (en) de l’auteur George Langelaan, déjà portée à l’écran dans La Mouche noire de Kurt Neumann (1958). La Métamorphose de Franz Kafka semble également une influence.
Synopsis :
Seth Brundle est un jeune biologiste très doué. Après avoir fait ses premières armes dans une brillante équipe, il se décide à travailler seul. Il met au point une invention qui doit révolutionner le monde : la « téléportation », qui consiste à transporter la matière à travers l’espace. Les essais sur un babouin sont peu convaincants et après des fuites dans la presse, il décide de se téléporter lui-même. Seulement il ne s’aperçoit pas qu’une mouche fait partie du voyage.

Synopsis :
Seth Brundle is a very talented young biologist. After honing his skills in a brilliant team, he decides to work alone. He develops an invention that is set to revolutionize the world: « teleportation, » which involves transporting matter through space. Tests on a baboon are inconclusive, and after leaks to the press, he decides to teleport himself. However, he doesn’t realize that a fly is also part of the journey.
