Silent hill
Silent Hill est un film d’horreur franco-canadien réalisé par Christophe Gans et sorti en 2006.
Il s’agit d’une adaptation du jeu vidéo du même titre. La distribution principale réunit Jodelle Ferland, Radha Mitchell, Laurie Holden, Sean Bean et Deborah Kara Unger. Une suite, Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, réalisée par Michael J. Bassett et reprenant une partie du casting du premier volet, sort en 2012.
Synopsis:
Sharon, une petite fille adoptée de 10 ans, parle durant ses crises de somnambulisme d’un endroit nommé Silent Hill (qui se trouve en Virginie-Occidentale de même que l’orphelinat où Sharon fut adoptée). Après avoir découvert qu’il s’agit d’une ville fantôme, sa mère, Rose, décide contre l’avis de son mari Christopher, d’emmener sa fille à Silent Hill dans l’espoir de comprendre ce dont elle souffre et de la soigner. Rose, Sharon ainsi que Cybil Bennett, une motarde de la police qui les avait suivies par suspicion, se retrouvent toutes trois, après un accident de voiture causé par l’apparition sur la route d’une petite fille, dans la ville fantôme de Silent Hill.

A sequel, Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, directed by Michael J. Bassett and featuring some of the cast of the first installment, was released in 2012.
Synopsis:
Sharon, a 10-year-old adopted girl, talks during her sleepwalking about a place called Silent Hill (which is in West Virginia, as is the orphanage where Sharon was adopted). After discovering that it is a ghost town, her mother, Rose, decides against the advice of her husband Christopher, to take her daughter to Silent Hill in the hopes of understanding what is wrong with her and treating her. Rose, Sharon, and Cybil Bennett, a police biker who had followed them out of suspicion, all three find themselves in the ghost town of Silent Hill after a car accident caused by the apparition on the road.
