What if the internet shut down?
After a more or less long global shutdown of the Facebook social network, many comments went in this direction:
« I thought it was the end of the world! »
Reminder:
It’s not the Internet that is stupid but the use we make of it!
If the internet were to suddenly shut down, for many of us it would mean the end of a certain way of life. The entire global economy relies on this technology, and in the event of an outage, we would be thrust back into the Middle Ages.
For many of them, kids who have navigated the virtual world since birth would lose their bearings and, by extension, their minds. An entire segment of our society would be destined to disappear.
The internet is a double-edged sword, it liberates us while enslaving us.
Never has humanity been so vulnerable to a technology it no longer controls.
AI is on the verge of thrusting us into an unprecedented « no man’s land. »
