Le Cinquième Élément est un film de science-fiction français coécrit et réalisé par Luc Besson et sorti en 1997.

New-York, XXIIIème siècle. Une énorme boule de feu fonce sur la terre et menace de l’anéantir. Un vieux moine, Cornelius, connaît le moyen de l’arrêter : il faut retrouver le Cinquième Elément, l’être suprême, qui associé aux quatre éléments vitaux – l’air, l’eau, le feu et la terre – peut seul repousser Le Mal. Cornelius reçoit l’aide Korben Dallas, chauffeur de taxi et ancien agent secret, et de Leeloo, extraterrestre qui a pris la forme d’une jeune femme. Le trio se lance dans de folles aventures pour sauver l’humanité mais doit affronter le redoutable Zorg et ses alliés, les terribles Mangalores.

Cornelius enlists the help of Korben Dallas, a taxi driver and former secret agent, and Leeloo, an extraterrestrial who has taken the form of a young woman. The trio embarks on a wild adventure to save humanity but must confront the formidable Zorg and his allies, the terrifying Mangalores.
