En 1996, Pfizer a donné un médicament expérimental à 200 enfants nigérians sans informer leurs parents qu’ils étaient les sujets d’une expérience médicale et tout en omettant de préciser qu’il existait un traitement alternatif approuvé.

11 enfants ont été tués et de nombreux autres blessés lors de l’expérimentation d’un médicament appelé Trovan et testé sur 200 individus mineurs.
