En 1979, Lio a sorti «Banana Split», sa toute première chanson. Ce tube a permis à la chanteuse belge de lancer sa carrière. Quarante-quatre ans après, le titre connaît à nouveau un vif succès. La raison? Une publicité de la marque d’Apple. Pour promouvoir le lancement de son nouvel iPhone jaune, le géant américain a sorti un court spot publicitaire dans lequel on peut entendre le morceau. En moins de 10 jours, la vidéo a été vue plus de 8 millions de fois sur YouTube.

In 1979, Lio released « Banana Split, » her very first song. This hit helped launch the Belgian singer’s career. Forty-four years later, the song is once again a huge success. The reason? An Apple advertisement. To promote the launch of its new yellow iPhone, the American giant released a short commercial featuring the song. In less than 10 days, the video had been viewed more than 8 million times on YouTube.
