Danny Madigan, un jeune garçon, sèche l’école pour aller au cinéma. Il est un grand fan de la série des Jack Slater qui met en scène un héros de films d’action qui rappelle l’inspecteur Harry. Le projectionniste du cinéma est un ami de Danny et il lui propose de venir voir Jack Slater IV en avant-première. À cette occasion, il lui remet un billet magique qui lui a été donné jadis par le grand magicien Harry Houdini. Grâce à ce ticket, Danny entre dans le film.

Danny Madigan, a young boy, skips school to go to the movies. He’s a big fan of the Jack Slater series, which features an action hero reminiscent of Dirty Harry. The cinema projectionist is a friend of Danny’s and invites him to see a preview of Jack Slater IV. On this occasion, he gives him a magic ticket that was once given to him by the great magician Harry Houdini. Thanks to this ticket, Danny enters the film.
