C’était l’été…. Je me laisse vagabonder au fil des articles que je publie depuis bientôt 5 ans.

C’est à l’aéroport de Genève Cointrin que j’ai rencontré pour la première fois le groupe « Xymox. » Depuis, des délires et depuis, c’est un monde tout entier que l’on doit reconstruire.

It was summer…. I let myself wander through the articles that I have been publishing for almost 5 years.

It was at Geneva Cointrin airport that I met the group “Xymox” for the first time. Since then, delusions and since then, an entire world has to be rebuilt.

L’amour, c’est dire à l’autre « Je t’aime »

Un film interdit aux moins de 18 ans lors de sa sortie en salles.

Didier Haudepin (Alexandre Motier) et Francis Lacombrade (Georges de Sarre) sont les deux principaux acteurs de ce splendide film réalisé par Jean Delannoy  en 1964.

Un amour secret mais concret qui devait se solder par le suicide du jeune Alexandre.

Une puissance, une tendresse mais aussi une violence que des images osées pour l’époque relatent dans une histoire d’amour qui serait banale aujourd’hui. Chapeau bas à ce réalisateur visionnaire.

Les amitiés particulières est un film tiré du célèbre roman de Roger Peyrefitte et édité par Jean Vigneau en 1943.

Magnifiques prestations, magnifiques visages, un film de toute beauté à regarder sans préjugé.

Love is saying to each other « I love you »

A film banned from under 18 when it is released in theaters.

Didier Haudepin (Alexandre Motier) and Francis Lacombrade (Georges de Sarre) are the two main actors in this splendid film directed by Jean Delannoy in 1964.

A secret but concrete love that was to end in the suicide of the young Alexander.

A power, a tenderness but also a violence that daring images for the time relate in a love story that would be commonplace today. Hats off to this visionary director.

Special Friendships is a film based on the famous novel by Roger Peyrefitte and published by Jean Vigneau in 1943.

Magnificent performances, magnificent faces, a film of great beauty to watch without prejudice.

Une nuit à Bangkok

Ayant passé bien plus d’une nuit à Bangkok je suis bien placé pour en parler. Magnifique ville, chaleur moite et étouffante, très polluée  mais d’un intérêt tout particulier sur le plan architectural avec ces magnifiques temples, ses marchés aux senteurs enivrantes, cette population amicale et accueillante. La Thaïlande est un pays qui marquera votre esprit à l’indélébile.

Murray Head nous chante cette ville lors d’un championnat d’échecs qu’il arbitre.

One night in Bangkok

Having spent more than one night in Bangkok I am well placed to talk about it. Magnificent city, humid and stifling heat, very polluted but of particular architectural interest with these magnificent temples, its markets with enchanting scents, this friendly and welcoming population. Thailand is a country that will leave an indelible mark on your mind.

Murray Head sings about this city to us during a chess championship that he referees.

The Goblin

Goblin (également Back to the Goblin, New Goblin, Goblin Rebirth, the Goblin Keys, the Goblins and Claudio Simonetti’s Goblin) est un groupe de rock progressif italien connu pour ses musiques de films. Ils collaborent fréquemment avec Dario Argento, créant notamment les partitions de Profondo Rosso en 1975 et de Suspiria en 1977.

Parce que leur collaborateur Dario Argento est spécialisé dans la création de films de genre horreur, suspense et slasher/giallo, les partitions faites par Goblin dans ces films avaient souvent des caractéristiques étranges. et des tons menaçants. Les rééditions de CD de leurs partitions ont bien fonctionné, en particulier en Allemagne et au Japon. Goblin revient avec une série de concerts live en Europe en 2009 et en Amérique du Nord en 2013.

The Goblin

Goblin (also Back to the Goblin, New Goblin, Goblin Rebirth, the Goblin Keys, the Goblins and Claudio Simonetti’s Goblin) is an Italian progressive rock band known for their film scores. They frequently collaborate with Dario Argento, most notably creating the scores for Profondo Rosso in 1975 and Suspiria in 1977.

Because their collaborator Dario Argento specializes in creating horror, suspense and slasher/giallo genre movies, scores made by Goblin in these movies often had eerie and ominous tones. CD re-releases of their scores have performed well, especially in Germany and Japan. Goblin returned with a series of live concerts in Europe in 2009 and in North America in 2013.

Laser Dance est un groupe italien qui fut englobé dans la vague des “Best of italo disco” dans les décennies 80 et 90.

Parce que je t’aime à en perdre la raison…

Pour illustrer ce billet, deux très belles chansons qui portent le même titre et dans un premier temps, la chanson de Jenifer Rush qui fut écrite et composée par Gunther Mende, Candy DeRouge, Jennifer Rush et Mary Susan Applegate en 1984. la chanson connaît de nouveau un succès à l’échelle mondiale en 1993 grâce à la version de Céline Dion. Personnellement, je préfère la version originale dont l’orchestration est beaucoup plus harmonieuse.

Ensuite, la chanson du groupe Frankie Goes to hollywood qui est le troisième single du groupe britannique. Sortie le 19 novembre 1984 en single, la chanson provient de l’album Welcome to the Pleasuredome. Avec cette chanson, Frankie Goes to Hollywood obtient un 3ème numéro 1 consécutif dans les charts britanniques. C’est de nouveau un gros succès dans plusieurs pays d’Europe et en Océanie.

Because I love you so much I can’t stand it…

To illustrate this post, two very beautiful songs which bear the same title and firstly, the song by Jenifer Rush which was written and composed by Gunther Mende, Candy DeRouge, Jennifer Rush and Mary Susan Applegate in 1984. the song obtains a new success on a global scale in 1993 thanks to the version by Céline Dion. Personally, I prefer the original version whose orchestration is much more harmonious.

Then, the group’s song Frankie Goes to Hollywood which is the third single from the British group. Released on November 19, 1984 as a single, the song is from the album Welcome to the Pleasuredome. With this song, Frankie Goes to Hollywood reached a 3rd consecutive number 1 in the British charts. It is once again a great success in several countries in Europe and Oceania.

« L’été indien »

C’est par la lumière de ce beau jour d’automne que j’ai compris à quel point je t’aimais. On appelle cette époque de l’année: l’Été indien.
