Un peu de chauvinisme helvétique et pourquoi pas?
Nous sommes zéro en matière de football mais nous avons le Tennis, le ski, nous avons nos artistes à l’international, notre fameux chocolat, notre fromage, nos montres associées à notre précision et à notre ponctualité, nos banques et notre discrétion, notre économie qui fonctionne bien si l’on compare avec nos voisins Européens et beaucoup de talents cachés comme par exemple: La Mère Etienne, (la Mère Etienne c’est moi, c’est le surnom qu’ils me donnent à la collocation). Peut-être pas de quoi s’extasier mais une petite fierté tout de même.

« The Captain of Her Heart » est une chanson du duo suisse Double (Felix Haug et Kurt Maloo) extraite de leur premier album studio, Blue (1985). La chanson est une ballade sur une femme qui arrête d’attendre le retour de son amant absent. Le single a été un succès international, atteignant la 8e place du UK Singles Chart et la 16e place du Billboard Hot 100, faisant ainsi de Double le premier groupe suisse à atteindre le top 40 de ce dernier classement.

C’était en 2014, la Suisse jouait son Va-tout à l’Eurosong avec ce groupe un tantinet déjanté Sebalter dont le titre “Hunter of stars” (Chasseur d’étoiles) mettait en jeu les couleurs de la Suisse.
La saison 2014 fut finalement remportée par l’Autriche, avec Conchita Wurst avec qui chantait “Rise like a phoenix”.

Un pic de șovinism elvețian și de ce nu?
Suntem prost la fotbal, dar avem tenis, schi, avem artiștii noștri internaționali, faimoasa noastră ciocolată, brânza noastră, ceasurile noastre asociate cu precizia și punctualitatea noastră, băncile și discreția noastră, economia noastră care funcționează bine, în raport cu vecinii noștri și cu multe talente ascunse precum: Mama Etienne, (Mama Etienne sunt eu, asta e porecla care mi-a fost dată ca colegă de cameră). Poate nimic de care să fii extaziat, dar totuși un pic de mândrie.

We are zero when it comes to football but we have tennis, skiing, we have our international artists, our famous chocolate, our cheese, our watches associated with our precision and our punctuality, our banks and our discretion, our economy that works well if we compare with our European neighbors and many hidden talents such as: Mother Etienne, (Mother Etienne is me, that’s the nickname they give me at the collocation). Perhaps nothing to be ecstatic about, but a little pride all the same.

« The Captain of Her Heart » is a song by the Swiss duo Double (Felix Haug and Kurt Maloo) from their debut studio album, Blue (1985). The song is a ballad about a woman who stops waiting for her absent lover to return. The single was an international success, reaching No. 8 on the UK Singles Chart and No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100, thus making Double the first Swiss act to reach the top 40 on the latter chart.
