Assemblage disco sud-africain HOT R.S. signifie Maison du Soleil Levant. Actif à la fin des années 70, ce groupe a enregistré quatre albums. Centré autour des producteurs clés Dan Hill et Kevin Kruger plus quelques musiciens de session comme les chanteurs René Veldsman, John Weddepohl et Judy Fältskog, le guitariste Trevor Rabin, le claviériste Duncan Mackay et le batteur Cedric Samson. Le groupe a interprété le classique « House Of The Rising Sun » de The Animals en 1964 et le hit « In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida » d’Iron Butterfly en 1968 habilement combiné avec le hit « Garden Of Eden » de Frankie Vaughan en 1957.
Disco cosmique sud-africain avec une teneur en sythé étonnamment élevée. Si vous aimez les arpégiateurs et les chanteurs simulant l’orgasme, ça sera votre Tasse de thé.
