« Eyes Without a Face » est une chanson du musicien rock anglais Billy Idol, tirée de son deuxième album studio Rebel Yell (1983). Elle est sortie en avril 1984 en tant que deuxième single de l’album. La chanson est plus douce et plus proche d’une ballade que la plupart des autres singles de l’album. Elle a atteint la 4e place du Billboard Hot 100, devenant ainsi le premier hit d’Idol dans le top 10 aux États-Unis. Le titre de la chanson est emprunté au film d’horreur de 1960 connu en anglais sous le nom d’Eyes Without a Face.

The Cure:

The Cure est un groupe rock britannique, originaire de Crawley, dans le Sussex de l’Ouest, en Angleterre. Formé en 1978, le groupe comprend actuellement Robert Smith au chant et à la guitare, Roger O’Donnell aux claviers, Reeves Gabrels à la guitare, Simon Gallup à la basse, et Jason Cooper à la batterie. Robert Smith est la figure emblématique du groupe. Seul membre présent depuis son origine, il en est le parolier et le principal compositeur. En plus d’en être le chanteur et guitariste, il tient parfois les claviers et la basse.

Associé au mouvement new wave, The Cure a développé un son qui lui est propre, aux ambiances tour à tour mélancoliques, rock, pop, gothiques et psychédéliques, créant de forts contrastes, où la basse est mise en avant et n’est pas seulement un instrument d’accompagnement. Elle est, notamment en raison du jeu particulier du bassiste Simon Gallup, une composante essentielle de la musique de The Cure. L’utilisation conjointe d’une basse six cordes (souvent une Fender VI), au son caractéristique, très souvent utilisée dans les motifs mélodiques, contribue pour beaucoup à la signature sonore si singulière du groupe.

The Cure:

The Cure is a British rock band from Crawley, West Sussex, England. Formed in 1978, the band currently consists of Robert Smith on vocals and guitar, Roger O’Donnell on keyboards, Reeves Gabrels on guitar, Simon Gallup on bass, and Jason Cooper on drums. Robert Smith is the iconic figure of the band. The only member present since its inception, he is the lyricist and principal composer. In addition to being the lead singer and guitarist, he sometimes plays keyboards and bass.

Associated with the new wave movement, The Cure developed a sound all its own, with atmospheres that are by turns melancholic, rock, pop, gothic, and psychedelic, creating strong contrasts where the bass is prominent and not merely an accompanying instrument. It is, particularly due to the distinctive playing of bassist Simon Gallup, an essential component of The Cure’s music. The combined use of a six-string bass (often a Fender VI), with its characteristic sound, frequently employed in melodic motifs, contributes significantly to the band’s unique sonic signature.

« Oceans (Where Feet May Fail) » est une chanson du groupe  australien Hillsong United. Elle est sortie le 23 août 2013 en tant que deuxième et dernier single de leur troisième album studio, Zion (2013). La chanson est dirigée par Taya Smith et a été écrite par Matt Crocker, Joel Houston et Salomon Ligthelm, la production étant assurée par Michael Guy Chislett.

Les idées de chanson ont commencé tôt dans la production de l’album. Crocker a travaillé avec Ligthelm plus tard en Australie pour écrire davantage de paroles et Ligthelm a aidé à décider que le thème de la chanson devait être celui de l’entrée dans l’inconnu et de la confiance aveugle de Peter pour marcher sur l’eau. Une grande partie de la mélodie a été écrite au cours de 10 jours dans l’appartement de Houston à New York. Les dernières paroles ont été écrites près d’une cascade le dernier jour de l’enregistrement.

La chanson a été enregistrée par la chanteuse Taya Smith qui a chanté de nombreuses parties de la chanson en une seule prise.

« Oceans (Where Feet May Fail) » is a song by Australian worship group Hillsong United. It was released on 23 August 2013 as the second and final single from their third studio album, Zion (2013). The song is led by Taya Smith, and was written by Matt Crocker, Joel Houston and Salomon Ligthelm, with production being handled by Michael Guy Chislett.

The song ideas began early in the production of the album. Crocker worked with Ligthelm later back in Australia to write more of the lyrics and Ligthelm helped deciding that the theme of the song should be about stepping into the unknown and Peter having blind trust to walk on water. Much of the melody was written over the course of 10 days at Houston’s apartment in New York. The last lyrics were written at a waterfall on the final day of recording.

The song was recorded by singer Taya Smith who sang many parts of the song in one take.

Chanter le Français

Le français est l’une des plus belles langues au monde, utilisez-la!

L’amour a des milliards de facettes, et chacune correspond à un être humain différent. Chanter l’amour en français est un privilège. Mais hélas, la langue de Molière se meurt… Et aujourd’hui, pas un message, pas une phrase ne passe sans que le français ne soit perverti par l’américanisation (et j’exagère à peine). De plus, rares sont les jeunes de cette génération capables d’aligner trois mots sans faire deux fautes d’orthographe ou de conjuguer correctement un verbe du premier groupe au présent.

Shumo AG (Musique) : Jeune guitariste, chanteur et compositeur primée, actif sur des plateformes telles qu’ Instagram, Facebook et Apple Music. Il est notamment connue pour ses titres originaux tels que « Ripples » (vidéo ci-dessous) et « Mom .»

Il a remporté l’AMEB Gold Award en Australie en 2024.

Lorsque Shumo, originaire du Queensland (Australie), a aperçu pour la première fois une affiche du programme AMEB Award dans le département de musique de son école, il venait de terminer son examen de guitare électrique de niveau 7 de Rockschool et composait déjà des morceaux originaux, se produisait régulièrement et se forgeait un profil de jeune artiste.

Mais le prix AMEB d’or offrait une perspective différente : celle de donner une nouvelle dimension à sa passion et de l’inscrire dans une vision plus large du leadership, de la créativité et de la contribution. « Ce prix [AMEB] me semblait idéal pour donner un nouvel élan à ce que je faisais déjà et le reconnaître officiellement », a déclaré Shumo, lauréat du prix AMEB d’or.

Déjà artiste certifié sur Spotify, Apple Music et YouTube, Shumo abordait la remise du prix avec confiance. Mais même lui ne s’attendait pas à ce que ce parcours soit aussi intense..

Jake Collisson (Un futur Mike Oldfield)

Découvert récemment, je vous présente Jake Collisson avec le titre ‘Staring At Stars.’ C’est à 7 ans, durant le confinement que ce jeune garçon c’est mis à apprendre la guitare sous l’œil bienveillant de son père. Depuis, il progresse irrésistiblement. Il interprète et maitrise tellement bien les notes que sur les réseaux sociaux, certains disent que ce n’est pas lui qui joue. Bien que cela soit gratifiant pour jake, il assure à 100% qu’aucune IA n’est utilisée lors de ses performances.

When Shumo from Queensland (Australia) first spotted a poster for the AMEB Award program in his school’s Music Department, he had just completed his Rockschool Grade 7 Electric Guitar exam and was already writing original music, performing regularly, and building a profile as a young artist.

But the Gold AMEB Award offered something different — a way to take his existing passion and frame it within a broader vision of leadership, creativity, and contribution. “The [AMEB] Award felt like the perfect way to level up what I was already doing – and make it official,” said Shumo, Gold AMEB Award recipient.

Already a verified artist on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube, Shumo approached the Award with confidence. But even he didn’t expect the journey to be quite so transformative.

Jake Collisson (A future Mike Oldfield)

Recently discovered, i introduce  to you Jake Collisson with the track « Staring At Stars. » It was at the age of 7, during lockdown, that this young boy began learning the guitar under the watchful eye of his father. Since then, his progress has been irresistible. He interprets and masters the notes so well that on social media, some say that it is not him playing. While this is gratifying for Jake, he assures 100% that no AI is used during his performances.
