Assemblage disco sud-africain HOT R.S. signifie Maison du Soleil Levant. Actif à la fin des années 70, ce groupe a enregistré quatre albums. Centré autour des producteurs clés Dan Hill et Kevin Kruger plus quelques musiciens de session comme les chanteurs René Veldsman, John Weddepohl et Judy Fältskog, le guitariste Trevor Rabin, le claviériste Duncan Mackay et le batteur Cedric Samson. Le groupe a interprété le classique « House Of The Rising Sun » de The Animals en 1964 et le hit « In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida » d’Iron Butterfly en 1968 habilement combiné avec le hit « Garden Of Eden » de Frankie Vaughan en 1957.

Disco cosmique sud-africain avec une teneur en sythé étonnamment élevée. Si vous aimez les arpégiateurs et les chanteurs simulant l’orgasme, ça sera votre Tasse de thé. Soi-disant Trevor Rabin et Duncan Mackay ont participé à ces enregistrements ainsi que plusieurs autres rockers non crédités. South African disco assemblage HOT R.S. stands for House Of The Rising Sun. Active in the late 70’s Recorded four albums. Centred around the key producers Dan Hill (2) and Kevin Kruger plus some session musicians like singers René Veldsman, John Weddepohl and Judy Fältskog, guitarist Trevor Rabin, keyboardist Duncan Mackay and drummer Cedric Samson. Covered The Animals’s 1964 classic « House Of The Rising Sun » and Iron Butterfly’s 1968 hit « In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida » cleverly combined with Frankie Vaughan’s 1957 hit « Garden Of Eden ».

Cosmic South African disco with a surprisingly high sythe content. If you like arpeggiators and singers simulating orgasm, this will be your cup of tea. Supposedly Trevor Rabin and Duncan Mackay participated in these recordings along with several other uncredited rockers. Kano « Another life »

Kano qui fut fondé en Italie et qui était formé par des producteurs et musiciens italiens tout en faisant partie de la vague Italo Disco se fait connaître en Europe dès 1983 avec ce titre mythique : « Another life ».  Entre la disco et le son des synthétiseurs, le titre instrumental « Ikeya Seki » devait faire vibrer la génération branchée de l’époque et propulser le groupe vers des sommets bien éphémères puisqu’il fut dissout la même année. C’est trois ans auparavant que Kano c’était fait remarqué aux États-Unis avec plus de 600’000 disques vendus sur 3 albums réalisés.

Kano, which was founded in Italy and was formed by Italian producers and musicians while being part of the Italo Disco wave, became known in Europe in 1983 with this legendary title: « Another life ». Between disco and the sound of synthesizers, the instrumental title « Ikeya Seki » was to thrill the trendy generation of the time and propel the group to very ephemeral heights since it was dissolved the same year. It was three years earlier that Kano had made a name for itself in the United States with more than 600,000 records sold on 3 albums produced.
