Kid Francescoli est un groupe de pop electro français, originaire de Marseille, formé par Mathieu Hocine en 2002. À partir de 2009, ce dernier travaille avec Julia Minkin avec qui il co-écrit les chansons et avec Mathieu Chrétien à la batterie pour les concerts.

Kid Francescoli rencontre le succès en 2013 avec son troisième album, With Julia, marqué notamment par le titre Blow Up et son clip, un petit court-métrage. Le quatrième album sorti en 2017, Play Me Again, confirme cette réussite à travers une tournée internationale de près de deux ans et plusieurs tubes notamment Moon (and It Went Like…) qui cumule plus de 50 millions de vues sur YouTube et qui bat des records au niveau planétaire sur TikTok.

En 2019, Mathieu Hocine s’entoure de quatre nouvelles chanteuses pour préparer son cinquième album, Lovers, qui sort le 31 janvier 2020. La nouvelle tournée internationale, rapidement arrêtée du fait de la COVID, redémarre un an plus tard avec notamment un passage à l’Olympia qui affiche complet le 17 juin 2021.

La musique de Kid Francescoli a été utilisée pour de nombreux spots publicitaires (Façonnable, Lanvin, Lacoste, Chanel, Lancôme, Aldi, Citroën…), dans des séries (Mafiosa, Skam, Valeria et Emily in Paris) mais également au cinéma (bande originale de Azuro, long métrage de Matthieu Rozé).

J’ai vécu 6 mois à Miami et je peux certifier que l’ambiance de la série culte Miami Vice retranscrit parfaitement cette atmosphère bien particulière qui ne se ressent que dans cet Etat des USA.

Quand la musique est bonne, la nuit peut durer pour toujours. Merci à tous ces musiciens de génie pour les rêves qu’ils nous procurent car sans eux, la vie serait bien fade.

Jan Hammer est un compositeur et musicien tchèque né le 17 avril 1948 à Prague (Tchécoslovaquie, aujourd’hui République tchèque).

I lived 6 months in Miami and I can certify that the atmosphere of the cult series Miami Vice perfectly transcribes this very special atmosphere that can only be felt in this state of the USA.

When the music is good, the night can be  forever. Thank you to all these genius musicians for the dreams they give us because without them, life would be bland.

Jan Hammer is a Czech composer and musician born April 17, 1948 in Prague (Czechoslovakia, now the Czech Republic).

Am locuit 6 luni in Miami si pot certifica ca atmosfera din serialul cult Miami Vice transcrie perfect aceasta atmosfera cu totul speciala care se simte doar in acest stat al SUA.

Când muzica este bună, noaptea poate continua. Mulțumesc tuturor acestor muzicieni geniali pentru visele pe care ni le oferă pentru că, fără ei, viața ar fi tristă.

Jan Hammer este un compozitor și muzician ceh născut la 17 aprilie 1948 la Praga (Cehoslovacia, acum Republica Cehă).

Familiarizat cu inovațiile instrumentale ale vremii (Fender Rhodes, Minimoog, Oberheim, Hohner D6 Clavinet și alte sintetizatoare din anii 1970), se ocupă în principal de fuziunea jazz.

Petit clin d’œil à John Lees

C’était l’époque des radios libres, on émettait sur une fréquence quasi pirate sous l’emblème KT – FM, c’était à Genève et dans les environs.

Tu venais de sortir l’album : « Eyes of the Universe » et il commençait tout juste à cartonner. Tu te souviens, la rue de Fribourg ? Une belle histoire…

À l’époque, Richard, était un animateur phare de cette radio et après son émission de la nuit, il venait régulièrement squatter mon canapé pendant que moi j’allais bosser.

Un soir, je me souviens, il c’est rappliqué avec toi et nous avons bu pas mal de bière ensemble. Nous avons écouté ce morceau en boucle : « Play to the world ».  Tu ne me l’as pas dédié directement mais ce soir-là, tu me l’a consacré. Pour moi, cela aura été un des plus beaux moments de ma vie.

On c’est pas mal côtoyé à une époque un peu glauque certes  mais c’était cool quand-même.

It was the era of free radio, we broadcast on a quasi-pirate frequency under the banner KT-FM, it was in Geneva and the surrounding area.

You had just released the album « Eyes of the Universe » and it was just starting to do well. Do you remember the rue de Fribourg? A beautiful story…

At the time, Richard was a key presenter on this radio station and after his night show, he would regularly come and crash on my sofa while I went to work.

One evening, I remember, he came back with you and we drank a lot of beer together. We listened to this song on repeat: « Play to the world ». You didn’t dedicate it directly to me but that evening, you gave it to me. For me, it was one of the best moments of my life.

We rubbed shoulders quite a bit in a somewhat gloomy era, certainly, but it was still cool.

Era epoca radioului liber, difuzam pe o frecvență cvasi-pirată sub bannerul KT-FM, era la Geneva și în împrejurimi.

Albumul „Eyes of the Universe” ieșea de pe presă și tocmai începea să meargă bine. Îți amintești de Rue de Fribourg? O poveste frumoasa…

La acea vreme, Richard era un prezentator cheie la acest post de radio și, după emisiunea lui de noapte, venea regulat și se prăbuși pe canapea mea în timp ce eu mergeam la muncă.

Într-o seară, îmi amintesc, s-a întors cu tine și am băut destul de multe beri împreună. Trio-ul nostru a ascultat de mai multe ori această melodie, „Play for the World”. „Nu mi l-ai dedicat direct, dar în acea seară mi-ai dat acest titlu. Pentru mine a fost unul dintre cele mai frumoase momente din viața mea. »

Ne-am frecat destul de mult într-o epocă oarecum mohorâtă, cu siguranță, dar a fost totuși cool.
