Imaginaerum est un film musical et de fantasy finno-canadien, réalisé par Stobe Harju d’après une histoire de Tuomas Holopainen. Ce film musical fait partie de l’album-concept Imaginaerum du groupe finlandais de metal symphonique Nightwish. Une partie de la bande originale du film est inspirée de l’album. Imaginaerum est produit par Markus Selin de Solar Films et par Nightwish. C’est le premier long métrage de Stobe Harju.
Synopsis:
Tom, un compositeur âgé et sénile, imagine un monde dans lequel il est toujours un jeune garçon. Alors qu’il est endormi, il voyage dans son passé. Ses anciens rêves se mélangent au monde imaginaire fantastique et musical du jeune garçon. Gem, la fille du compositeur, tente de recréer les liens qui l’unissaient auparavant à son père en bonne santé, mais ses tentatives sont compromises par la santé déclinante de son père.

Imaginaerum is a Finnish-Canadian musical fantasy film directed by Stobe Harju, based on a story by Tuomas Holopainen. This musical film is part of the concept album Imaginaerum by the Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish. Part of the film’s soundtrack is inspired by the album. Imaginaerum is produced by Markus Selin of Solar Films and by Nightwish. It is Stobe Harju’s first feature film.
Synopsis:
Tom, an elderly and senile composer, imagines a world in which he is always a young boy. While asleep, he travels to his past. His old dreams blend with the fantastical, musical world of the young boy. Gem, the composer’s daughter, tries to recreate the bond she once had with her healthy father, but her attempts are thwarted by her father’s declining health.
