Qui n’a pas fredonné ce titre mondialement connu “Voyage voyage” de l’inoubliable Desireless qui me fait l’amitié de m’accorder une interview et que je me fais un plaisir de partager avec vous :
G.S :
“Quand je vous ai connu, c’est je l’imagine comme le commun des mortels avec ce titre planétaire : « Voyage voyage » Qui en est le compositeur et qui a écrit le texte ?”
Desireless :
“L’auteur est Jean Michel Rivat et les compositeurs Jean Michel Rivat et Dominique Dubois.”
G.S :
“Si vous êtes juste l’interprète, comment avez-vous été sélectionnée pour interpréter le titre ?”
Desireless :
“J’ai rencontré Jean Michel grâce à un bassiste avec qui je jouais et qui le connaissait … Nous sommes allés lui faire écouter une maquette avec quelques titres de notre groupe et nous avons signé un contrat pour un 45 tours. Ce n’était pas “Voyage, voyage” mais un titre à nous dont jean Michel réécrivit le texte : “Chercher l’amour fou” avec en face B “À l’arrière de la cadillac” …”
G.S :
“Ensuite, il y a le titre « Jhon » . A-t-il été produit dans les mêmes conditions que « Voyage voyage » ?”
Desireless :
“Il y eut ensuite un second 45 tours “Qui peut savoir” que vous pouvez écouter ici. Ce n’est qu’après que Voyage est sorti en 1986. John a été enregistré bien après en 1989. Le titre a été enregistré dans un studio digital alors que voyage lui avait été enregistré en analogique.”
G.S :
“Le titre « Voyage voyage » est inconditionnellement connu et continue à faire vibrer la planète toute entière. En vivez-vous aujourd’hui ? (Ccomme le « Born to be alive » de Patrick Hernandez).”
Desireless :
“Oui avec cet énorme revival 80 depuis plus de dix ans, Voyage est mis à l’honneur un peu partout dans le monde. Si j’étais auteur ou compositeur de ce titre je pourrais me rouler les pouces comme Patrick Hernandez rien qu’en touchant les droits Sacem, mais ce n’est pas le cas. Je ne suis que l’interprète, et les droits Adami ne suffisent pas à me faire vivre.”
G.S :
“On ne va pas s’attarder sur le passé et j’ai vu sur votre site que vous aviez pas mal de vidéos, très belles d’ailleurs, comme la reprise de « Voyage voyage » ou « Jhon » quels sont vos projets ?”
Desireless :
“J’ai beaucoup créé ces dernières années avec le musicien Valfeu et depuis ce début d’année nous avons arrêté notre duo. Je fais une grande pause et on verra si je continues ou pas.”
G.S :
“Sur le plan privé : Êtes vous mariée et avez-vous des enfants ?”
Desireless :
“Je ne suis pas mariée mais vis avec mon compagnon Titi depuis une dizaine d’années et j’ai une fille de 29 ans. Vous pouvez d’ailleurs la voir sur ma dernière version de “Voyage,voyage”.”

„Dacă ești doar interpretul, cum ai fost selectat să interpretezi melodia”

„L-am cunoscut pe Jean Michel datorită unui basist cu care am cântat și care l-a cunoscut… Ne-am dus să-i cântăm un demo cu câteva titluri din grupul nostru și am semnat un contract pentru un 45 rpm. Nu a fost „Voyage, voyage”, ci un titlu al nostru al cărui text Jean Michel l-a rescris: „Chercher l’amour fou” cu pe fața B „At the back of the Cadillac”…”

„Apoi mai este titlul „Jhon”. A fost produs în aceleași condiții ca „Voyage Voyage”?
Desirless:
„A urmat un al doilea single „Qui peut savoir”, pe care îl puteți asculta aici. A fost doar după ce Voyage a fost lansat în 1986. John a fost înregistrat mult mai târziu, în 1989. Titlul a fost înregistrat într-un studio digital, în timp ce Voyage a fost înregistrat în analogic.

„Am creat multe în ultimii ani cu muzicianul Valfeu și de la începutul anului ne-am oprit duo-ul. Iau o pauză mare și vom vedea dacă continui sau nu.

“I met Jean Michel thanks to a bass player with whom I played and who knew him … We went to play him a demo with some titles from our group and we signed a contract for a 45 rpm. It was not “Voyage, voyage” but a title of ours whose text Jean Michel rewrote: “Chercher l’amour fou” with on the B side “A l’arrière de la cadillac”…”

“Then there is the title “Jhon”. Was it produced under the same conditions as “Voyage voyage”?”
Desirless:
“Then there was a second single ‘Qui peut savoir’ which you can listen to here. It was only after Voyage was released in 1986. John was recorded much later in 1989. The title was recorded in a digital studio while Voyage was recorded in analog.
G.S:
“The title “Voyage voyage” is unconditionally known and continues to thrill the entire planet. Do you live today from royalties (Like “Born to be alive” by Patrick Hernandez).
Desirless:
“Yes with this huge 80 revival for more than ten years, Voyage has been honored all over the world. If I was the author or composer of this title I could roll my thumbs like Patrick Hernandez just by touching the Sacem rights, but that is not the case. I’m just the performer, and the Adami rights aren’t enough to sustain me. »
G.S:
“We’re not going to dwell on the past and I saw on your site that you had a lot of videos, very beautiful by the way, like the cover of “Voyage voyage” or “Jhon” what are your projects? ”

Le groupe comprend le compositeur et claviériste Andrew Farriss, le batteur Jon Farriss, les guitaristes Tim Farriss et Kirk Pengilly, le bassiste Garry Gary Beers et le parolier et chanteur Michael Hutchence. Le groupe se reforme en 2009 pour se séparer définitivement en avril 2019 suite à son décès.
