Arena is a live album by English new wave band Duran Duran. It was released on 12 November 1984 by Parlophone. In 2004, the album was reissued on CD in remastered form with two bonus tracks.
Duran Duran is a British new wave band from Birmingham. For a time, it was part of the New Romantics wave associated with the New Wave of the 1980s. Je devais avoir entre 10 et 13 ans lorsque la chanson, « Sand storm » est sortie dans les bacs. Un single qui faisait de l’ombre au célèbre « One for you one for me » du groupe La Bionda. On écoute les deux titres ici.

I was between 10 and 13 years old when the song, « Sand storm » was released. A single that overshadowed the famous « One for you one for me » by the group La Bionda. We listen to both tracks here.
Say what you want, but the 70s and 80s will remain the most productive in terms of musical creativity.

Chacun fait (c’qui lui plaît) est le premier 45-tours et le plus grand succès du duo Chagrin d’amour. Considéré comme la première chanson rap en français, ce titre a connu un immense succès dès sa sortie en 1981 et fait figure de classique de la chanson française.
Les paroles de la chanson s’inspirent du monde de la nuit de Paris. Un homme raconte ses déboires et ses angoisses de noctambule : alcool, bars louches, prostitution et même police, puisque le texte prend parfois la forme d’un interrogatoire. La prostituée qui lui a vendu ses services l’invite ensuite à passer à autre chose, avant de reprendre le premier couplet pour exprimer ses propres problèmes.
Bandolero « Paris Latino »
Paris Latino est une chanson du groupe français Bandolero. La chanson est écrite et composée par les frères Carlos et José Perez, ancien membres du groupe punk Guilty Razors. Le troisième membre du groupe et batteur était Gilles Bourezak. Elle est sortie en single musical en chez Mankin Records et distribuée par Virgin Records. Seul véritable succès commercial du groupe, le titre est considéré comme un succès sans lendemain.
Les paroles évoquent, dans un mélange de français, d’espagnol et d’anglais, une soirée où dansent, fument et boivent du Cuba libre, plusieurs personnages dont : « Joséphine » (devant son miroir, en robe rouge et noire), Don Diego de La Vega venu de Mexico, des poseurs, des voyeurs et la playmate du mois (« Miss Cha-cha-cha »); Après le succès en Europe, le groupe enregistre une version en anglais à New York sous le label Sire Records de Seymour Stein avec comme producteur John Jellybean Benitez, alors compagnon de Madonna ; la légende veut que c’est elle qui a facilité la signature avec le label. Par la suite, Seymour Stein souhaite que le groupe s’installe aux USA, malheureusement en raison de dissensions dans le groupe, il n’y eut pas de suite.

Chagrin d’amour
Chacun fait (c’qui lui plaît) is the first 45 rpm record and the biggest hit of the duo Chagrin d’amour. Considered the first rap song in French, this title was a huge success upon its release in 1981 and is considered a classic of French song.
The lyrics of the song are inspired by the Parisian nightlife3. A man recounts his troubles and anxieties as a night owl: alcohol, shady bars, prostitution and even the police, since the text sometimes takes the form of an interrogation. The prostitute who sold him her services then invites him to move on, before taking up the first verse to express her own problems.
Bandolero « Paris Latino »
« Paris Latino » is a song by the French band Bandolero. The song was written and composed by brothers Carlos and José Perez, former members of the punk band Guilty Razors. Malade, c’est à Montreux en Suisse que le chanteur Freddie Mercury passa les derniers mois de sa vie, au bord du lac Léman.
Après sa mort en 1991, les autres membres du groupe vont offrir à la ville une statue de bronze du chanteur. Des milliers de fans s’y rendent en pèlerinage chaque année pour déposer au pied du monument, quelques fleurs, un texte, un bijou.
L’histoire d’amour entre Freddie Mercury et Montreux débute en 1978 dans le studio de David Richard (Montain Studio) un ingénieur du son décédé aujourd’hui mais adulé par les meilleurs groupes de rock de l’époque. Toutefois, le chanteur n’appréciait pas véritablement la ville qu’il trouvait trop calme à son goût. Mais deux ans plus tard, le groupe Queen rachète le studio d’enregistrement dans lequel il devait produire ses 6 derniers albums.

Ill, it was in Montreux, Switzerland, that singer Freddie Mercury spent the last months of his life, on the shores of Lake Geneva.
After his death in 1991, the other members of the group presented the city with a bronze statue of the singer. Thousands of fans go there on pilgrimage every year to leave a few flowers, a text, or a piece of jewelry at the foot of the monument.
The love story between Freddie Mercury and Montreux began in 1978 in the studio of David Richard (Montain Studio), a sound engineer who has died today but was adored by the best rock groups of the time. However, the singer did not really appreciate the city which he found too calm for his taste. But two years later, the group Queen bought the recording studio in which it was to produce its last 6 albums.
