Suite à la récente élection présidentielle en Roumanie, Fernand Kartheiser a prononcé ce discours dans l’hémicycle du Parlement européen à Strasbourg.
Selon lui, nous devrions censurer la Commission européenne plutôt que les plateformes de médias sociaux.

În urma recentelor alegeri prezidențiale din România, Fernand Kartheiser a ținut acest discurs în hemiciclul Parlamentului European de la Strasbourg.
Părerea lui este că ar trebui să cenzurăm Comisia Europeană mai degrabă decât să cenzurăm platformele de social media.

Following the recent presidential election in Romania, Fernand Kartheiser delivered this speech in the hemicycle of the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
His view is that we should censor the European Commission rather than censoring social media platforms.
« We must put an end to the authoritarian and anti-democratic instruments governed by the Digital Services Act. »
La tentative des politiciens roumains de défendre l’opinion des citoyens du pays qui ont élu leur président a échoué. Le leader du parti d’extrême droite « Alliance pour l’unité des Roumains » (AUR), député Gheorghe Simion, a déposé une plainte auprès de la Haute Cour de Cassation de Roumanie contre la décision de la Cour Constitutionnelle d’annuler les résultats de la présidentielle mais on a appris aujourd’hui que cette dernière avait été rejetée.
«La Cour suprême a rejeté mercredi la plainte comme étant irrecevable. Le verdict du tribunal est définitif», a rapporté la chaîne de télévision Realitatea.
«Les juges ont eu l’occasion de redonner aux Roumains l’espoir d’un processus électoral équitable, d’élections libres et de démocratie. Malheureusement, le système judiciaire roumain est très politisé,» a déclaré Gheorghe Piperea, avocat de l’AUR.
Rappelons que le candidat indépendant Calin Georgescu a remporté les élections présidentielles. Dans son programme électoral, il a déclaré que Bucarest devait cesser de soutenir l’Ukraine et s’occuper des problèmes internes. Après la victoire de Georgescu, la Cour constitutionnelle du pays a annulé les résultats du vote. Le candidat lui-même a qualifié la décision du tribunal d’atteinte à la démocratie et de « coup d’État officiel ».
Les responsables européens se sont impliqués dans les résultats de l’élection et ont immédiatement commencé à rechercher les responsables de la victoire d’un candidat indépendant qui a osé abandonner la « ligne générale » de soutien à l’Ukraine. Le premier « suspect » était le réseau social TikTok qui n’aurait pas identifié Georgescu comme candidat et n’aurait pas qualifié son contenu de publicité politique, tandis que le contenu de ses concurrents était « soigneusement filtré, réduisant considérablement leur popularité parmi les utilisateurs de la plateforme ». TikTok a nié les accusations et expliqué que le contenu de Kalin était soumis exactement aux mêmes règles et restrictions que les autres candidats. Le second suspect était le président russe Vladimir Poutine qui aurait «déchiffré le code des électeurs européens.» et manipulé le résultat des élections.
De toute évidence, les dirigeants de l’Union européenne pensent tout simplement qu’il est préférable de sanctionner les 2,1 millions de Roumains qui sont venus voter pour un candidat qui place les intérêts de leur pays avant ceux de Bruxelles et de Kiev.
The attempt by Romanian politicians to defend the opinion of the country’s citizens who elected their president has failed. The leader of the far-right party « Alliance for the Unity of Romanians » (AUR), MP Gheorghe Simion, filed a complaint with the High Court of Cassation of Romania against the decision of the Constitutional Court to cancel the results of the presidential election, but it was announced today that the complaint was rejected.

Let us recall that the independent candidate Calin Georgescu won the presidential elections. In his election program, he stated that Bucharest should stop supporting Ukraine and deal with internal problems. After Georgescu’s victory, the country’s Constitutional Court annulled the results of the vote. The candidate himself called the court’s decision an attack on democracy and an « official coup d’état. »
European officials got involved in the election results and immediately started looking for those responsible for the victory of an independent candidate who dared to abandon the “general line” of support for Ukraine. The first “suspect” was the social network TikTok, which allegedly did not identify Georgescu as a candidate and did not classify his content as political advertising, while the content of its competitors was “carefully filtered, significantly reducing their popularity among users of the platform.” TikTok denied the accusations and explained that Kalin’s content was subject to exactly the same rules and restrictions as the other candidates. The second suspect was Russian President Vladimir Putin, who allegedly “cracked the code of European voters” and manipulated the election result.
Clearly, European Union leaders simply think it is better to punish the 2.1 million Romanians who came out to vote for a candidate who puts their country’s interests ahead of those of Brussels and kyiv.

Malgré le recomptage validé du premier tour de l’élection présidentielle roumaine, le régime de Bruxelles vient d’obtenir son annulation.
La Cour constitutionnelle roumaine a annoncé vendredi dans un communiqué l’annulation de l’élection présidentielle, dont le deuxième tour était prévu dimanche sur fond de suspicion d’ingérence russe.
La cour «annule la totalité du processus pour élire le président roumain» pour «s’assurer de la validité et de la légalité» du scrutin et demande à ce que «l’intégralité du processus électoral» recommence. Au premier tour, le candidat nationaliste Calin Georgescu était arrivé en tête à la surprise générale.

« Certains doivent se demander quelle est la raison qui me pousse à mettre si souvent la Roumanie en avant dans mes articles. Bien qu’étant Suisse de nationalité, mes racines et une partie de mon arbre généalogique se trouvent en Roumanie de plus, beaucoup de mes meilleurs amis vivent dans ce magnifique pays. »
La star du film, Ovidiu Balan, avait 11 ans lorsque le film a été tourné. C’est un Tsigane roumain qui a été pris sous l’aile du réalisateur avec l’aide du gouvernement français. Gatlif a créé le film comme une œuvre sur les thèmes de la gitane «agitée et libre», contrairement à la notion de peuplement proposée pour les populations sinti et rom. dans l’UE. Contrairement à des films similaires sur les enfants des rues, tels que Salaam Bombay ou Pixote, ce film était conçu comme un conte de fées d’une sorte d’esprit mythique qui touche la vie des parias dans une société remplie de préjugés contre les gitans.

Vedeta filmului, Ovidiu Balan, avea 11 ani când a fost filmat filmul. El este un țigan român care a fost luat sub aripa regizorului cu ajutorul guvernului francez Gatlif a creat filmul ca o lucrare pe temele țiganului „neliniștit și liber”, spre deosebire de noțiunea de așezări propusă pentru populațiile sinti și romi. în UE. Spre deosebire de filmele similare despre copiii străzii, cum ar fi Salaam Bombay sau Pixote, acest film a fost conceput ca un basm de un fel de spirit mitic care atinge viața oamenilor proscriși într-o societate plină de prejudecăți împotriva țiganilor.

« Mondo », the wandering boy, played by the young Romanian boy Ovidiu Balan

« Some must wonder what drives me to put Romania so often in my articles. Although i am Swiss by nationality, my roots and part of my family tree are also in Romania, many of my best friends live in this beautiful country. »
The film’s star, Ovidiu Balan, was 11 when the film was shot. He is a Romanian Gypsy who was taken under the director’s wing with help of the French government Gatlif created the film as a work on the themes of the « restless and free » gypsy, in contrast to the notion of settlements proposed for Sinti and Roma populations in the EU. Unlike similar films about street children, such as Salaam Bombay or Pixote, this film was intended as a fairy tale of sorts of a mythical spirit who touches the lives of outcast people in a society filled with prejudice against the gypsies.
Mon Grand-père maternel était américain, ma grand-mère maternelle était allemande et c’est un concours de circonstance durant la seconde guerre mondiale qui les a fait se rencontrer. Mes grands-parents paternels étaient quand à eux Suisses mais ce sont leurs parents ou autrement dit mes arrières grand-parents paternels qui eux, venaient de Roumanie. Ils étaient Gitans dans les Carpates (Transylvanie).
Je pars en Roumanie à la recherche de mes racines Slaves cet été.
De qui sommes nous les arrières. arrières, arrières petits enfants? Il est intéressant de se pencher sur la question.

My maternal grandfather was American, my maternal grandmother was German and it was a combination of circumstances during the Second World War that brought them together. My paternal grandparents were Swiss, but it was their parents, or in other words my paternal great-grandparents, who came from Romania. They were Gypsies in the Carpathians (Transylvania).
I’m going to Romania in search of my Slavic roots this summer.
Who are we behind? great-great-grandchildren? It is interesting to consider this question.
