Un épisode récent d’une émission télévisée populaire pour enfants a déclenché un débat houleux parmi les téléspectateurs en raison de l’introduction d’un personnage de robot non binaire.
L’émission en question est Transformers : EarthSpark, une série basée sur les jouets robots bien-aimés de Hasbro qui a acquis une immense popularité auprès des enfants âgés de deux à onze ans. Cependant, l’inclusion de thèmes « Transgenre » a suscité des inquiétudes parmi les parents et les commentateurs.
Dans le clip controversé, un personnage de transformateur nommé Nightshade exprime ses pronoms comme « ils/eux ». Cette déclaration incite l’un des personnages humains à répondre : « Merci. Je suis elle/il… Je suis désolé pour la façon dont j’ai réagi. C’est juste que parfois, le monde peut être un endroit effrayant. C’est difficile de savoir qui est dangereux ou non.

Transformers kids’ program features “non-binary” character
A recent episode of a popular children’s TV show has sparked a heated debate among viewers due to its introduction of a non-binary robot character.
The show in question is Transformers: EarthSpark, a series based on the beloved robot toys from Hasbro that has gained immense popularity among children aged two to eleven. However, the inclusion of “gender-neutral” themes has raised concerns among parents and commentators.
In the controversial clip, a transformer character named Nightshade expresses their pronouns as “they/them.” This statement prompts one of the human characters to respond with, “Thanks. I’m she/they… I’m sorry for how I reacted. It’s just sometimes the world can be a scary place. It’s hard to know who’s dangerous or not.”

Face à ces propos, son collègue de plateau Laurent Neumann a espéré qu’il n’était pas sérieux, ce à quoi Emmanuel Lechypre a répondu:
«Si, je suis très sérieux. Il faut aller les chercher avec les dents… et avec les menottes s’il le faut ! »
